Good news, it's finally starting to get colder here! That means the leaves are going to change soon and I can't wait! Fall here is going to be the best I just know it.
This week was super busy but really great! We had zone conference and I got to meet all the elders and sisters serving around my area and we learned alot from our mission president and his wife. They are great! We also had exchanges this week and I went to Roanoke for a day with Sister Richardson. It was cool but I definitely love my Salem. And Sister Neilson. It was so good to be back though because after a slow week, on Saturday we had a bunch of little miracles back to back. We got to teach Anastassia a lesson and then we ran into trish on our way home and we got in contact with a few other people that started looking into the church. They were ignoring us for a while there. Which I don't see why they would do such a thing. We are some funny chill girls who serve a lot and teach people about how much God loves them. Sprinkling salvation and kindness. I mean what's not to like?! ;) Oh and some of you may have noticed I got a new Facebook. If not, go add me. (Madison Fisher). I mean if you want to have uplifting spiritual and positive messages show up on your feed, oh add me for sure;) Y'all can message me on there too but it's supposed to be for missionary work so if you wanna know more about the only true restored gospel of Jesus Christ, feel free to hit me up. Salem got pretty flooded this week. It was actually madness how fast the rain was coming. we couldn't even leave our house most of Thursday because all the roads were closed and it was so dangerous. Sister Neilson and I still had a lot of fun even though we were trapped. We are always laughing and having a good time. I think we think we are a lot funnier than we actually are...And when the rain cleared up we got to go do service for people in Salem whose houses were flooded. First time I've tried to clean up after a flood. It's a pain. But it was still fun!
Something we are doing as a mission is reading the 5 gospels before the end of the year. Sounds crazy but it's not that bad. The challenge is this: Read Mathew, Mark, Luke, John, and 3rd Nephi. Read 2 chapters everyday. While you read, notice the characteristics of Jesus Christ and pick one to work on! Let me know if you take this challenge on! It's a great way to understand the New Testament better!
Anyways sorry I don't have a lot to share this week. Honestly though seeing even a little progress in people makes me so happy and so grateful. Seeing the change in their lives is so worth it! The gospel is the best! Lovin' the Mish life!
Kloveyoubye,
Sister Fisher
