Hey so this week was so great. So many fun activities! Friday night was the highlight. We got to go to this missionary training meeting with Elder RENLUND who is one of the 12 Apostles! Half the mission came along with all the members in each ward who hold missionary callings. Soooo I got to see most of my favorite missionaries and some Salem folk. What a dream! We got to talk so much because funny story, Elder Renlund's flight was delayed. The meeting was supposed to start at 7 but didn't start until 9:30! Our curfew as missionaries is 9 PM so this was crazy guys! An apostle and our mission president approved so first time we were allowed to stay out past curfew! Yee haw! After the meeting President and Sister Averett got us McDonald's too! So I got to eat some nuggs at 11 PM. Wild stuff I tell you! But yeah all that and I got to meet an Apostle of the Lord and shake his hand. Wow what a night. No but actually Elder Renlund is a hoot and a half. It's refreshing when an apostle cracks jokes and fist bumps. He and his wife are so cute and funny together because she's a pretty strict lawyer type. Well I guess not type, she literally was a lawyer. Anyway their message was AMAZING. I learned so much. It was all about gathering people closer to God and getting others to make covenants with Heavenly Father in the temple. It really set my perspective on a higher goal. The goal is not just to get people baptized. No. The goal is to get people to the temple. To guide them, show them the way and help them get there so they too can be endowed with power and be sealed to their families for eternity. This stuff is so real people. How do we find true joy in this life and eternal life beyond? President Nelson said, "The key is to make and keep sacred covenants. It's not a complicated path." Preach! Ummmm what else? We've been teaching our members the missionary lessons and having them share it back with us and then challenging them to share it with others during the week. It's been a great way to get them involved in missionary work and I'm probably going to be making the people I call do this so just a warning for yall;) My sleep schedule is still wrecked and I feel exhausted from my one night out lol. I'm so lame. But on the bright side I only fell up the stairs twice this week. Which is pretty good for me!:) okay have a wonderful week. Thanks for everything and more! Kloveyoubye, Sister Fisher
