Another busy week that just flew by! Lots of good things happened though!
Tuesday we had zone conference and that was so great. I always love learning from our mission president and missionary leadership. The focus was on how to get the members involved in missionary work. Honestly you guys, we cant do our work effectively without yall. You're so essential to the gathering of Israel so keep that in mind;) When I got to introduce my trainee at the meeting President asked her what shes learned from me. I was scared at what her answer was going to be tbh. Haha. But she ended up giving me the sweetest best compliment anyone has EVER given me.
We did a lemonade/cookie stand with the Elders on Wednesday. That was super fun. We had Jesus jams and gave out a few Book of Mormons and had a lot of fun! There wasnt alot of foot traffic but instead actual traffic so we mainly just threw cookies into people's windows. It was a good time.
We also had exchanges this week. I was so proud of my Sister Weiman for taking over the area for a day. I got back and she told me how much she missed me and not to leave again. Honestly I was flattered. I probably would've been offended if my trainee was okay with me going and didn't miss me at all. Kind of like the mom who drops her kid off at school for the first time and they run off and aren't sad one bit. Lol. But I'm glad she missed me and it's good to be back:)oh and Hayes got the priesthood! So stinking cool. So proud *tear*
I totally had a great spiritual thought but its slipping my mind like everything these days. So I'll just share some of my all time favorite verses from the Book of Mormon. We got to share it alot this weekend with Mothers Day and all. God bless. Okay here it is: Alma 56:47-48
47 Now they never had fought, yet they did not fear death; and they did think more upon the liberty of their fathers than they did upon their lives; yea, they had been taught by their mothers, that if they did not doubt, God would deliver them.
48 And they rehearsed unto me the words of their mothers, saying: We do not doubt our mothers knew it.
This was the account of young men going to fight for their liberty, nation, and religion. They were out numbered, under trained and the odds were against them. They were some of the most noble and courageous men ever. And they were taught to be strong in their faith and love God by their mothers! Uggg. Gives me chills. Mothers can have such a huge impact for good. One thing I'm sure Satan hates is a righteous mother. So happy belated mothers day to all my favorite mamas out there.
Overall my week has been very draining but lots of good steps in the right direction. I feel so close to my Savior. I hope yall can feel of His love too. Have the best week!
Kloveyoubye,
Sister Fisher
