Hey hey! I hope yall had an amazing 4th and got to celebrate this great country of ours! God bless! I'm still not over it. It was a great 4th here in Blacksburg complete with community events and Big Lick Cow ice cream. Believe it or not, I owe a lot of my patriotism to the Book of Mormon. It teaches me the importance of liberty and freedom and how God really does play a role in leading and preserving a nation. Our friend Jack literally makes my week. Every week. He is just so full of questions and his lessons are some of the most fun and most spiritual lessons I've ever gotten to be apart of. I wish I could tell yall all the funny things we get a kick about, but you weren't there so you wouldn't get it. Just take my word for it, the friendship we have with him is just really fun. And it's so cool to see him read and really study the gospel out in his mind and heart. My prediction: he's going to be an Apostle one day;) Last night at bishops, they burned a couch in honor of my last Sunday here. Yes, a couch. And Sister Woolwine made my favorite dinner. And Mason played the guitar and it didnt rain and there were fireflies and chickens and I even got to light the gas soaked couch on fire, which probably wasn't the safest thing in hindsight, but still! So adding everything from my run on sentence up, that equals a perfect night! And to top it off my Sister Weiman got called to be a trainer! It's kind of a big deal because I am just about finished training her, so she will go straight from being trained to being a trainer! I feel like such a proud parent and I'm so dang excited for her! She's going to be amazing I just know it. While it's been good here in Blacksburg, I know at home it's been another trying week. My thoughts and prayers are sent to Idaho even more than usual. It's times like these that I'm so beyond grateful for the knowledge of this gospel. Especially the Plan of Salvation. The grave has no victory and we have the great privilege to be reunited with passed loved ones after this life and live with them for all of eternity. Physical death is not the end! But when the load is too heavy, in any given situation, our Savior has promised to help lift and comfort us. Mosiah 24:14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions. Thank you for all the love and support and prayers that yall send my way. I'm blessed beyond measure and I think so often about how I got lucky enough to live this beautiful life, to know this gospel, to be a representative of Jesus Christ, and to be surrounded by the most wonderful people. I don't know what I did to deserve any of this, but I thank God for it all everyday. Have the best week. I'll see y'all soon. Kloveyoubye, Sister Fisher
