Okay not to be dramatic, but let's be real, I'm dramatic. So the world has about ended because I'm being transferred. Dont know where to or who my new comp will be yet, I will find out tomorrow night, but they just told me I'm leaving. A truly tragic event... This week was good though we have been very busy! On Tuesday we had my last bishops storehouse. So sad. I'm going to miss all those people so much ugg. And then we had a lesson with our Spanish speakers. Fortunately this time we had sister Soto with us so the lesson went better and they were able to understand more. I mostly just smiled and nodded but I did bsre my testimony in Spanish and they told sister Soto they were very impressed they could actually understand. The holy ghost helped out there alot I'm sure of it. We have another lesson with them tomorrow. I haven't had alot of time to practice this week but I'm understanding it alot more so hopefully I can be more engaged in the conversation this time. Wednesday we had zone conference! It was alot of fun. I love zone conferences. I always learn so much from president and the leaders and I get to see all my buds. Sister Sujetta, Sister Chamberlain, and me in the same room? Bless. It was great. I am going to miss my zone and especially my district soooo much. Later that night we got to tune into a lesson with the queen herself, Kylee J. So good to start lessons with her again. She's a gem and I can see her growth and just her increase of confidence as she's learned more about her Savior and Hevaenly Father. So cool. On Thursday we had weekly planning and then filled the day with follow ups and finding. We met this guy names Gussy who recently got out of jail. He was a little too nice and wasn't sparing with compliments. But his mom actually was very nice and hopefully the next sisters can start teaching them soon. Then we had dinner with the Williamsons. They are such wonderful people. And ended our evening with ward correlation. So fun and I we barely have enough time to talk about everything during the meeting because there is so much. That's how you know the area is picking up. We started Friday off with district council and then we got to meet with the girls. We had a great lesson about the Word of Wisdom. While it might not be the most popular thing, it's a commandment that I've been able to see change my life maybe more than any other. Avoiding drugs, alcohol, smoking, coffee and tea has helped me in all aspects of my life. It might seem odd but it really does show Gods love for us. He wants us to treat our bodies, his perfect creations, with the respect they deserve. Then dinner with the Stanley's. They are also amazing! Saturday was so so great! A little girl in our ward was getting baptized and we invited Maggie and the girls! They came! It was such a cool experience. They all said they enjoyed it I'm so grateful they got to go and see what they could be doing in their near future. After the baptism we tried some potential people and while looking for someone completely different, we met this guy named Howard who drilled us with questions. But not in a contentious way. He really wanted to know the answers and his mom just recently passed and his dad is getting close to gone so he really is interested in learning. We talked with him for an hour and hopefully will get to teach him on Wednesday. Then dinner at Duttons. 10/10. Then we picked up sister guy and went to meet with this guy. He didn't answer so we tried this other guy we met earlier in the week who was right up the road. We were there for an hour and a half. We taught him most of the restoration and plan of salvation. He had amazing questions too and even though he was spitting chew during the whole lesson, he really did listen and liked the hope and peace offered from the gospel. Jerry is so cool. After the lesson we were scrambling to get the girls a ride to church still and then the zone leaders called. They broke my heart and told me I was leaving and then.... yeah let's just say I did not appreciate that conversation. So then I was way frazzled. We ended up getting the girls a ride but they didn't go to church so that was sad. But hopefully we will get to see them later in the week before I leave. Sunday was so great and I got to say my see ya laters and thank yous. Mama vaassen, aka Sofia, isn't too keen on me leaving. Said the mission president is on her bad list lol. Look out for Sofia on a rage! Then we went to the cooks for dinner and that was so great. Especially the homemade Carmel candies. Rhey also gave us ward cookbooks so now I have recipies for squirrel gravy and possum stew. Cant wait to try those out... Lol We ended the evening with getting blessing from Brother Dutton. I feel more at peace about leaving now after the blessing and some prayer but I'm not going to lie it's pretty frustrating I just feel like I've worked hard with all these people. My girls are on date to be baptized and are making such wonderful progress and we've recently started teaching some strong people. And then what I have to leave?! I've gotten way attached but I'm grateful to have gotten to spend my first almost 5 months in Salem! They do call it the celestial kingdom of the mission for a reason. I cant wait to see what else the Lord has in store. Probably better than what I could think up. The next couple of days are planned to the 15 minute interval and it's going to be way hectic. We have like two member meals a day and multiple lessons every day so I'm super excited. I am so grateful Heavenly Father knows each of us so perfectly that his plans are more detailed than we can imagine. Salem was lit and I'll never forget it. Thank you so much for the packages, emails, letters and love. Is it acceptable to wear Mickey ears while tracting? Because Jalene sent me the cutest pair of sparkly gold ears and I'm considering wearing them;) lol love you all have the best week. Stay warm! Kloveyoubye, Sister Fisher
