Hey hey!

Lots of up and downs this week! Started off on the 29th with my 5 month mark! Yeah it was a great day until all of our appointments canceled on us and 3 people dropped us (decided they didn't want to continue taking the missionary lessons). All in a few hours time so that was depressing. I feel like I'm single handedly destroying the area but it's fine. I'm fine. Thursday was a harder day too. But also a very comforting day at the same time? It was the 11th anniversary of when my sister/aunt Jess passed away. Lots of emotions and it was hard not being able to talk and spend time with my family. But also I'm so grateful to be a missionary on days like those. It reminds me how many people don't have the knowledge we have with the gospel. It blows my mind that not everyone knows about the Plan of Salvation. The Plan of Salvation answers the questions where did we come from, why are we here, and where are we going. It outlines Heavenly Fathers plan for each of us individually and as families. While its heartbreaking to lose someone you love I am grateful to have gotten to build my testimony on that plan of Salvation from young age. Every time I get to teach someone about this I think about Jess and am given so much comfort and peace. So of course it's one of my favorite things to teach! Let's see after that the week started to turn around. It went from -3 in the beginning of the week (gosh it was miserable) to like 60 yesterday! What a blessing! And it's supposed to be nice all week! And as the weather got warmer some hearts dethawed I guess because we had a few awesome lessons and picked up two new people! Hopefully we will get to meet with them this next week so I'll tell more about them later...but one is a kid from China who knows nothing about God so that should be interesting! Super pumped. Also this guy we are teaching, who is like the happiest most positive awesome person ever, picked a baptism date for the beginning of next month! He also came to church which is so awesome considering he worked till 4 am the night before! He is so great and has a good grasp on the gospel. Cool guy. Saturday we got to hang out with brother Reese. He is actually just like uncle Si from Duck Dynasty. Beard, overalls and all. His dog had breast cancer too. That not relevant but anywho he's so nice and funny! Yesterday was great and I'm getting to know more people in the ward. They are all pretty dope. They are literally all so nice and help us with missionary work which is a dream and welcome everyone. And the bishopric is awesome. The bishop has a sign from The Office on one of the doors in his house so that should explain how cool he is. Wow, just blessed here. Here is my favorite quote of the week: I have discovered that the Lord's "no's" are merely preludes to an even greater "yes". -Patricia Holland This helps me bounce back from getting shut down and rejected from my peers at bus stops and what not when I try to bring up the gospel. *nervous laugh* I tried to give a guy a Book of Mormon yesterday and he was all "no I'm good I have my Bible" and I was all "that's great but you really don't want more of the word of God I'm trying to give you cause..." yeah he did not. The bus was late picking us up so that made standing there with him post rejection a little awkward.. but for him not for me cause wow opportunity missed on his part! Oh well, maybe another day:) Hopefully these people dropping and rejecting us means that Gods got something good brewing. Stay tuned... Hope y'all enjoyed the super bowl. Gladys Knight is a member of the church and represented like a queen singing that national anthem. So cool! Other than all that nothing too crazy this week. Oh wait! You guys sent me a ton of packages and goodies! I don't deserve any of you! My heart is so full. Thanks so much for all that and the prayers love and support. Have the best week! Kloveyoubye, Sister Fisher
