Soooo. COLTON GOT BAPTIZED! Saturday was such an awesome day we woke up really early to get ready and then we had to bike to Blacksburg ward building to fill up the baptismal font. It was rainy, wet, and I'm super out of shape so the biking was not pretty but nothing could take away from the day in general. The ward members all showed up to support Colton and it was all just a smooth success. Wow I'm just so grateful to have been able to be apart of it. It all just made me think about how baptism really is just the beginning. Elder Uchtdorf said "We are eternal beings. Endings are not in our destiny." It's so true! Baptism is that first step into eternity. Heavenly Father loves us so much he provided a way back to him by sending his son to pave the way and be our example. Whenever you follow Christ's example, in baptism or just in the way you live your life daily, you will be given the blessings Heavenly Father is waiting to bestow upon you. Other than the baptism we had some great lessons this week and we able to do some service. We teach this Indian lady to read English and she likes to read from the bible which is cool. So she whips out her Duck Commander bible (yes as in Duck Dynasty) Haha and we read from that. We also showed her the bible videos (lds.org) that is literally a play by play of the New Testament so that helped her understand tons. But okay I'm going to be real I was semi distracted for a minute during our appointment because the apartment next door was blaring MY FAVORITE Cardi B song. Oh it took all of my will power and a silent prayer to hold me back from rapping every word. I'm the worst. But overall a good lesson and she made us cake:) Also yesterday we had my favorite sacrament meeting so far on my mission. It was filled with simple and powerful testimonies. I felt so uplifted and encouraged and am so grateful to be here in Blacksburg. Oh yeah by the way I'm staying! Sister Stoker is too, so we will be staying put and working hard for the next 6 weeks in the Blacksburg YSA. What a blessing. I'm just so grateful have gotten to be a missionary for the past 6 months and can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings. Thank you for the packages, letters, love and prayers. Have the best week! Kloveyoubye, Sister Fisher
