This week was incredibly bizarre. Okay so first of all HAYES GOT BAPTIZED! Super cool experience. My favorite part was when our recent convert, Colton (who got baptized at the beginning of the month), gave a talk about baptism. His testimony is so powerful and his perspective I think really helped Hayes. I also loved when we sang I'm trying to be Like Jesus. I just love that song but I felt the spirit and it was just so simple and sweet. Hayes did have to get dunked twice because the font wasn't all the way filled. So the first go his knees came up. This technically was our fault, but it wasn't. Here is my defense: Friday night we made Hayes a tie and biked over to his apartment and gave it to him as a baptism present. He loved it. It was great and the tie, might I say, was pretty impressive for being homemade. Anyway Saturday morning we go to bike to the church to fill the font and one of our bikes was gone! There was a bunch of parties at our apartment Friday night so I was being all positive and thought maybe someone just was under the influence and took it by mistake and would bring it back. well they didn't so we had to file a police report. Anyway it was an hour walk to the church so one of the members of the bishopric came and took us to the church, but we were a bit late. So therefore the font didn't have time to fill. Not our fault. But if the person who stole our bike is reading this, please give it back. We also had a surprise Thursday night. It was 8 pm and we came home and changed into sweats and were about ready to start our companion study when we got a call from the mission president. He said he wanted to do our interviews that night instead of the next day and that he would be at our apartment in a couple minutes. I hung up the phone and crap hit the fan. It was like the fire drill scene from the office. Complete madness. We usually keep our apartment pretty clean, but for some reason this week in particular it was wrecked. We shoved and threw things, changed and cleaned everything just in time for when president knocked on the door. We let him in and the first thing he says to me is "Sister Fisher are you sweating?!" My blotchy red face and panting gave away the chaos that had just taken place I guess. He laughed though and it turned out to be quite funny. Let's see I also got hit on by an overly confident 10 year old and I jammed out to Cardi B with some lady who was blaring it in her car. All fun things. This week I finished my 2nd read through of the Book of Mormon since I've been on my mission (which is 7 months as of last Friday). You guys. I cry just thinking about how much this book means to me, especially lately as I've been searching for answers and comfort. The peace and gratitude I experience when I read it's pages and find answers is indescribable. Please read it. So you can feel this too. AHHHHHH. We all go through hard things. I promise the Book of Mormon can help you feel peace and comfort through these trials. It's such a rock and source of strength for me. Oh and I would like to give a shout out for the rad human that sent me my Trump Pence 2020 gear. God bless. And the rest of you as always for the support, prayers, letters, and love. Tune into General Conference this weekend to hear from living Prophets and Apostles called by God. It's going to be lit. kloveyoubye, Sister Fisher
