I decided my hair covered up my nametag too much so I chopped it. No actually it was just what we call a mid mission crisis and I needed to change things up a bit. Also I neglected brushing and doing my hair multiple days a week so less maitnece will make looking presentable less of a struggle. A few hours and 7 inches later and I'm feeling like I got my mom-do on. A lot of changes will be coming up this week! Bitter sweet ones. Sister stoker is leaving Blacksburg and I behind and is headed back to West Virginia. I on the other hand am staying and will be training a brand new missionary! God really is making a risky move here. I'm a bit nervous but also very excited. My training experience was a blast and I loved it so hopefully I can help make her experience the same way. Just pray I dont wreck her. This week we did finding and finding and then exchanges with the cute little queen Sister Wolfly. We met some interesting characters together. Made for a fun day. And then Sunday was great because we had stake conference so I got to see Sister Neilson in all her radiant glory! I started re reading the book of Mormon so I'm through 1st nephi. I've never considered 1st nephi to be one of my favorite books in the book of Mormon but I'm sitting there reading it like, wow why in the heck have I been missing this my whole life?! I feel like I've never read it and I'm getting SO much out of it. Then fast forward to last night I'm praying. In my prayer im all "Heavenly Father I really don't think I can do this training thing. I don't want to mess up one of your missionaries." and then my sassy version of the Holy Ghost is all "you idiot you just read a promise from nephi that God will prepare a way for you to do anything He asks of you." The Holy Ghost and scriptures always roast me. Sometimes I am so quick to forget, but good thing God is patient. Here is one of the scriptures I'm referring to. 1 Nephi 17:3 And if it so be that the children of men keep the commandments of God he doth nourish them, and strengthen them, and provide means whereby they can accomplish the thing which he has commanded them; This next week is going to be pretty exciting. Lots of new things and a sad peace out to Sister Stoker. I just can't wait to find out who gets to join me here in the blessed Blacksburg YSA! Oh my goodness I almost forgot! You know how our bike got stolen the other week. Yeah well I was telling people you know maybe they were just a bit intoxicated and will bring it back after they know what they did. Of course I got made fun of for being so nieve. Well GUESS WHAT. They brought the bike back! Tender mercies people! While it's been a beautiful week here I know others back home have had it rough. My heart goes out to our dear 4-H and FFA families who lost their dads and husbands this last week. Also my idol Blanche Angel. Such a strong queen. Heaven help cancer for picking a fight with her! You are all in my prayers always. I am so grateful for the atonement and for the plan of salvation that allows us to be reunited with our families for eternity. I love y'all!
